Industrial Highlights | Fluor Awarded Key Contract for Highland Valley Copper Mine Life Extension in Canada

British Columbia, Canada – December 15, 2025 – Fluor Corporation has been selected by Teck Resources Limited to deliver engineering, procurement, and integrated construction management services for the Highland Valley Copper Mine Life Extension (HVC MLE) project near Logan Lake, British Columbia. The project represents a major brownfield expansion, aiming to extend the mine’s operational life from 2028 to 2046.

Fluor will oversee upgrades and modifications to the mine’s conveying, grinding, and flotation systems, as well as improvements to general plant area facilities, electrical reticulation, and supporting off-site utilities. Construction activities are expected to generate approximately 2,900 local jobs and contribute significantly to the region’s economic activity.
