

April 21, 2025 – Global consulting and engineering firm Wood has secured two framework agreements valued at a combined $11 million from TotalEnergies EP Ratawi Hub to provide critical engineering and procurement services for the redevelopment of the Ratawi oil field in southern Iraq. The contracts span a three-year term and are part of the Associated Gas Upstream Project (AGUP), a key element of Iraq’s Gas Growth Integrated Project (GGIP).
Under these agreements, Wood will deliver front-end engineering and procurement services to debottleneck and upgrade existing oil field infrastructure. The upgrades aim to boost production capacity to 120,000 barrels of oil per day upon the completion of the project’s first phase.
Engineering and procurement activities will be led by Wood’s teams based in Basra and the United Arab Emirates, leveraging the company’s regional workforce of over 4,000 personnel. This project reflects Wood's deep-rooted presence and operational strength in the Middle East energy sector.
